    Yes. The X-ray shows a slight rupture to her cruciate ligament. It could be treated with just extended rest but we have opted to have her referred to see a specialist with a view to her having it operated on. With an operation it heals sooner, is more robust and less likely to come back as well as reducing the chances of her getting arthritis.

    Even with the operation it will still be a 6 week or so recovery but that's probably about how long before I can walk much anyway.

    Sam was taken to the vets practice in Largs for the X-rays so was away for the day. From what I can gather she had a great time getting petted by everyone. I'm not sure she. Issued us that much ;-)
