And the fish supper was delicious. Probably a good thing for the hips that we didn't have room for one of their amazing ice cream sundaes!
I like Nardini's. One of my haunts.
And the river might be the Gogo Burn.
Just a shame they don't let dogs in or we could all have gone in.

The big one doesn't.
But the other Nardini's down at the ferry does allow dogs in.
Isn't the other Nardini's just an ice cream place?
No, does food and drinks (alcohol) too.
That's good to know.
Nice blog John- thanks for taking care of the boy.
This blogg brought back some memories. I lived in Largs for nearly 2 years whilst working at Hunterston many years ago and I got married to my first wife there too.
I can remember stopping in Nardinis bread shop for freshly baked bread rolls on my way home from nightshifts, some of the best I can remember tasting and I don't think I've ever tasted pizzas better than the ones we used to buy from them too.
Another food memory is that we'd go and dig up new potatoes in the fields around the power station (ok, I know it was naughty !). When cooked, they were good enough to eat on their own. I can't remember eating potatoes since that tasted as good.
I was a travelling man then, so owning a dog wasn't really feasible but I have many happy memories of my time there. Thanks for reminding me of them John.![]()
